1. Acceptance of Terms
By using the MouseShortcuts desktop app or website, you agree to these Terms and the associated Privacy Policy.
2. Description of Service
MouseShortcuts is a desktop utility that maps keyboard shortcuts to mouse gestures. The app is supported by a mix of website advertising (Google Ads) and in-app affiliate marketing.
3. Monetization & Ad Model
Website: You acknowledge that the website hosts advertisements provided by Google or other third-party networks to keep the service free.
Desktop App: The app displays affiliate marketing links and clickable images using Electron's WebContentsView. You understand that clicking these images redirects you to third-party affiliate sites.
Future Sponsorships: We reserve the right to display direct sponsorship advertisements within the desktop app environment.
4. Technical Operation
App Bridge: The app connects to a domain-hosted bridge to sync marketing content and functional data.
Background Process: The app uses an AutoHotkey-powered helper. While it operates at the OS input-hook level, it is not malware. You are responsible for whitelisting the app in antivirus software if false positives occur.
5. Prohibited Use
Users may not engage in ad-click fraud, reverse engineer the app bridge, or use the app in conjunction with anti-cheat-protected games, as this may result in account bans for which we are not liable.
6. Limitation of Liability
MouseShortcuts is provided "as is." Our total liability is capped at $50. We are not responsible for third-party affiliate products, external ad content, or system conflicts (e.g., focus stealing).
7. Account Deletion & Termination
Users may uninstall and delete their accounts at any time via Settings. We reserve the right to terminate access for users engaging in malicious activity or ad fraud.
8. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of the App or website after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
